Samantha helps me so much she not just a case worker she has helped me get over fears that I have struggled with. Samantha is so sweet and goes beyond what’s expected of her.
My case mangers help me and go out of thier way to help and make me feel at ease
Coming here for treatment and the case worker are good with picking u up and dropping you off to and from your appt I really appreciate how much they care to help me
The wellness center has very pleasant counselors willing to listen to you and get to the root of your problem .I would recommend anyone to check them out you'll get good results.
I come to Charak for both addiction and mental health services for opiate and bipolar disorder. The first visit they put me on meds that I clearly needed. I relapsed a few times but after 14 years of using they understood it may happen and didn't give up on me. Dr. Ranjan, Joe, Karen, Melinda, and Danielle are they only people to not give up on me! They are wonderful with support! They support me more than my family. Thank you guys. Truly amazing people doing amazing things.
Ashley McFaul is a great case manager, always friendly and very helpful. She will be greatly missed when she goes to the Elyria location. As for the staff, they are very friendly and helpful as well. I have been coming to Charak for over 5 years and the only thing I don't care for is the constant staff turnover. It's a comfort thing once you get to know people and then they're gone. Overall, I am pleased.
Charak all in all is an absolutely wonderful place. The counselors and case managers are amazing people. There are times where the doxtors can be difficult to work with, but they can also be extremely helpful as well. Special thanks to Karen, Melinda, Mary Rose, Ashley Mcfaul, Kaleena, Joselyn, and to everyone who had been kind and patient and supportive of my recovery and my mental health. You guys have saved my life. I could never repay you for what you guys have done for me and I will forever be grateful!
I've been coming here 25 years. I don't see Dr. Ranjan anymore but I see other providers. They're all great and very helpful. They get me back and forth from appointments, the case workers are great (especially Mary Rose and Ashley).
The Charak Center for Health and Wellness saved my life. The staff, therapists, caseworkers, drivers and doctors were so compassionate and patient with me. I am recommending them to anyone struggling with mental health issues. I am so grateful. Five stars!! Thank you Dr RanJan for saving lives. Kelly Masters
Front end staff is fantastic. However waiting 6 hours to see Dr Ranjan is ridiculous. Makes me nervous for future appointments. Thank goodness my husband had my daughter. Can you imagine if I'd had a 3 year old with me for those 6 hours of waiting time (they were technically closed by the time the doctor saw me)
I’ve had nothing but good results there. The longest I’ve ever waited was about 20 minutes, that’s not bad. The staff is really helpful and they try hard to make you comfortable and assist you in just about every way possible.
Charak has been a life saver for me. The staff is knowledgeable and always polite to me. They know you personally and take their time with you. They have EXCELLENT employees, Mary Rose ( best case manager ever), Susie ( best child therapist), and Melinda ( who id be lost without). Dewan is also a great asset and is always trying to uplift her clients in a feel good positive way!!! The desk girls are always helpful and super nice too!!! Overall Charak has become a stable part of my weekly routine, Thank You Charak!!!
My favorite person is my driver and case manager, Haleigh. She makes me feel safe and comfortable. Everyone at Charak in Medina are very nice but it's been a few months and I'm not feeling better yet.
Staff, from front desk all the way up to the doctors, is extremely friendly and willing to work hard to make things work for the patients. They listen to concerns about things like meds and their side effects, and really take in your wants and needs for your treatment plans. Case managers go above and beyond for their clients. The office is also clean, with open space and has a decent selection of reading material. One of the best parts is providing transportation for clients who cannot or are unable to drive, once again showing their want to go above and beyond. Overall very fantastic.
I love the staff in this building, they listen to me quite well and are really respectful. I regularly visit this building and can see my self coming back for treatment.
Elyria Office. Very impressed with the services. I was hooked up with a case mgr. my first meeting. Nice to be able to see a Doctor without having to wait 6 months, like other places.
This place is very cool. I really appreciate dr Ranjan for his passion for helping us. Hes a very good man and dr. The iop is awesome. The group facilitator is extremely helpful. I have ben sober for months now thanks to them. If you want to get sober this is the place to be. Staff very kind and helpful.
Let me preface this with me NOT being a bigot and open to people of all races. Now that they have hired an American staff that speaks English fluently, understands American idoms, and our culture, I feel much more comfortable coming to the office and being cared for. For the past several years, there was an apathetic and un-empathetic aire in the office but that seems to have changed; also the new chairs don't hurt either! Joe, don't get me started on him, he is funny, intelligent, and personable; his direct nature facilitates care without the stories or things that can detract from him assisting you the most effectively; I felt very comfortable.
I’ve had nothing but good results there. The longest I’ve ever waited was about 20 minutes, that’s not bad.
Joe was very thorough and asked a lot of questions to come to the right diagnosis. I immediately liked him both as a person and a provider. The office staff is friendly and professional. The waiting area is large and reasonably comfortable but lacks visual warmth and smells of stale cigarettes and despair.
I have had very good response from the team members and I think Dr ranjan is a genius I have felt better than I ever have since I’ve been going there
I have been going there for many years and it’s been great for me. The only thing I would change is the desk lady.(foreign women) She is the NASTIEST, RUDEST, non helpful person I’ve ever met. She cuts you off when your trying to ask questions, she ignores you when you come in to check in and if you call into office to ask questions she has hung up the phone numerous of times on me if she doesn’t know the answer to my questions or if I ask to speak to someone different . Example: she saw me waiting to check in and didn’t ask me to wait or anything. She was texting on her cell phone the whole time. I waited for 8 minuets before the girl next to her turned around after being on the phone and immediately apologized and checked me in. I purposely waited to see how long she was going to make me wait. That’s why I didn’t knock on glass. I did tell my doctor what happened and she told me, all the patients complaine about her. The foreign lady just continued to text on her phone. I have have this problem every time I come in for my appointment with this woman. I hope they remove her from the front desk area, because she has NO business being in this profession when dealing with people.
Unbelievable staff, including but not limited to, Jason, Dewan & Dan (Medina location). They have helped me by being there for me & caring about me since my first visit. They have gone beyond their duties of Therapist, RN & Case Manager. How do you thank someone for so much? If I could box up a billion hugs for each, it would only be a start.
New staff members are being hired as more clients are finding the Charak center to be a useful resource. We are doing our best to manage the needs of our clients with limited staff availability. More team members are being hired to help us better serve the community.
I was very happy here and recommended to friends. Until recently I've been frustrated. Lots of employee turn over. In past few months the management of my case has been jostled around and desk workers seem clueless. Complimentary van is awesome and Louise is great. Case worker Dan Meeks is awesome. Above and beyond.
I am completely happy with my therapist. He makes me think in directions I wouldn't have thought of. The center cares about it's patients I keeping up with you on each visit. Thank you Jason
The program is awesome. I love the people there.. The down sides are they change things so much and it gets confusing and irritating. There's also a lot of people coming and going and it gets upsetting when you finally get used to someone and then they are no longer there and u have to get used to someone new... But for the addiction program they have there it works but they are very stricked but if you really wanna get sober and stay sober this is the place to go.
EXTREMELY HELPFUL, TIMELY, WORKED WITH ME FROM THE DETOX UNIT AT THE HOSPITAL AND IMMEDIATELY UPON DISCHARGE STARTED MY SUBOXONE. TtHIS GIVES ME THE BEST CHANCE OF NOT RELAPSING. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I BELEIVE I CAN DO IT THIS TIME WITH YOUR HELP.
I learned about Charak through a friend and I was in desperate need of a Medically-Assisted Treatment Program to recover from my disease of addiction. I already knew that I needed group counseling as well as individual therapy and Charak provided exactly what I needed with that. But the blessings didn't stop there. Because most of us recovering addicts have lost so much during the depth of our disease, we need help with "life stuff" too and Charak provides Case Management for free to me because I am doing the Intensive Outpatient Program for therapy. Mackenzie, the addictions case manager, came with me to all of my court appearances and has always been a big support for me. I am also thankful for Kim, the addictions counselor, who has helped me in too many ways than can be numbered. Also, the bus driver, Lewis, is a supportive presence in my life and couldn't have attended ANY outpatient treatment centers had he not been there to drive bus for Charak. The only downside to the Medina office is that there seems to be high turnover with the office and medical staff and yes, I have had to wait for hours sometimes to see Dr. Ranjan or a Nurse Practioner but most of them still have a good, encouraging attitude for which I am thankful. It is because of Charak and the caring people (especially in addictions treatment) that I can say I have 4 months clean! And the best part is that my program runs for a full year which gives me additional support and accountability during the hardest time in recovery! It is very wise that they have set up this program in this manner and I am thankful for their services!
let me start by saying i have been going to Charak Center For Health And Wellness - Medina for 18 months (year and a half) and before i go pointing out little discrepancies i'm going to point out whats important in reference to a lot of other negative reviews we should focus on whats important getting your medication on time, helpful passionate staff and in depth counseling and i get all 3 at Charak, Charak saved my life that being said im extremely happy with my time there and if you're struggling with addiction or a mental health disorder i recommend you give them a try
Staff is kind and helpful. It is very busy and I suggest am appointments if you don't like waiting.
I was picked up and taken home by my new case manager and saw my new counselor for the first time. I received kind and professional care from them both. Wait time was minimal and recommend you try Dr. Ranjan's office.
The staff here is kind and passionate. They're often quite busy, but it doesn't stop them from giving you their full attention. Counseling is stellar and the case mangers here are engaging and helpful. I'd recommend this facility to anyone I met who's struggling mentally and/or emotionally.
Wonderful place! Wonderful people! They saved my life! Love, love, love the Nurse Nicole!
