There are quite a few negative reveres on here and in reality they do not accurately describe the facility. First off the staff is amazing, 90% of them are in recovery, so they understand the issues of early sobriety. People are not asked to leave treatment because they just pull names out of hats but because they continue to repeat the same actions over and over again, even after being told about the actions. Everything that happens here is based on your behavior Like with ANY treatment center the stats are low because you aren't done until you're done. Another issue that is ignored is the face that the facility holds sixty men and that is quite a few to deal with. Another great thing about this facility is you are actively encouraged to work steps while you are here. Wilson hall also helps build life skills, the residents help with the cooking and cleaning. The small group sessions are where this place really shines because it creates an environment of trust and compassion with the other men. All in all Wilson hall is a one of a kind treatment center, almost like a recovery boot camp! There is a man named Arnold Montgomery who is so incredibly full of wisdom and anyone who gets a chance to cross his path should be lucky.
I've seen many success stories come through Wilson Hall, and have heard good things from former clients. It's a good place to build a foundation for sobriety. I'd like to address the young lady who's partner was asked to leave for the following reasons: "1.)EATING CHIPS OUTSIDE A DESIGNATED AREA." "2.) HAVING SOMEONE PASS HIM A CIGARETTE." 3.) NOT BEING OPEN ENOUGH IN GROUP SESSIONS" The first two seem to be the inability to follow simple guidelines. *Most places have designated areas to eat, generally not in their rooms. It's a sanitation issue. *Borrowing cigarettes and money is prohibited at most facilities. *As far as not being ''open enough' during group sessions, I obviously don't know how much a person should share, but I know that the program requires participation, a willingness to be open, and honest. Recovery requires this. I hope that the young man found a recovery program that works for him.
very caring staff.
I say this place should get 10 stars. It works if you work it.
